WETA Workshop authentic prop replicas are made by the very same artists and technicians who work on our movies, using the same techniques and materials. One ring to rule them all. One ring to find them. One ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them. The one ring created for the Lord of the Rings trilogy was designed and made by Jens Hansen - gold & silversmith of Nelson, new Zealand (Middle-earth). Weta is pleased to be working with jeans Hansen to produce the one ring in gold plated Tungsten carbide. Its crafted to the exact shape, thickness and proportions of the original movie prop. The 18K gold plating and the significant weight of the Tungsten now ensures that you can own a one ring that looks and feels absolutely right. Jens Hansen reputation as a brilliant ringmaker was one of the main reasons he was approached to make the one ring for the Lord of the Rings. Today Jens Hansen son, halfdan Hansen, continues his fathers legacy, and supervises the production of the one ring for us. This gorgeous piece of jewelry has the famous words in ancient elfish runes delicately engraved on the inside and outside of the ring, as well as on the beautiful wooden gift box Made from natural walnut Timber. The box can be displayed open Thanks to an ingenious and almost invisible elastic hinge or closed with a strong rare-earth magnet.The lid features a the Lord of the Rings logo on the outside and the logos of Weta and jeans Hansen on the inside. The inside bottom of the box is lined with blue velvet.Like anything made from natural Timber, variations in grain and color will occur and the color may also change over time. This is an entirely natural process.
